Job description:
GENERAL SUMMARY
– Schedule: Three days per week, specifically Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with some half days on Friday.
– Location: Detroit, MI.
– Facilitate customer service by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to patients and customers within a medical environment.
– Greet patients and visitors, manage check-ins and check-outs, and acquire necessary documentation while verifying and entering demographic information.
– Obtain and confirm insurance authorizations and precertifications. Process medical record release requests and schedule or confirm patient appointments effectively.
– Accurately enter, review, and submit charges for patient procedures and services on a daily basis. Collect co-payments and ensure accurate reconciliation of all daily reports and deposits.
– Deliver general office and clerical support to the designated area.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A high school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of one year of relevant cumulative job-specific experience is required.
