Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Coffee Shop Associate. This role involves preparing a variety of coffee shop beverages and food items, operating the cash register, and processing payments efficiently, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare coffee shop beverages by brewing, mixing, and blending according to established standards.
  • Prepare food items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure all food and beverages are handled safely and in compliance with guidelines, maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Operate the cash register to itemize customer purchases and process various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons.
  • Stock items and rotate coffee and merchandise displays as needed.
  • Maintain familiarity with current store programs and product locations.
  • Understand and utilize check-stand and coffee shop equipment efficiently.
  • Notify the department lead or manager when orders for products and supplies are needed.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding security, cash handling, and product management, including the handling of damaged or spoiled products.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked department while ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Communicate company programs (e.g., loyalty programs, in-store specials) to customers, reflecting high service standards to enhance the customer experience.
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Guidelines.
  • Adhere to Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
  • Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist in other departments as needed to enhance customer experience.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of retail or related experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact courteously and effectively with customers.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.

Physical Requirements:
