As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assume critical management responsibilities, which include assisting in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring optimal store performance, managing employee schedules, and formulating operational action plans. You will also identify training opportunities aimed at developing and enhancing the capabilities of the team.

Wage Increase: Year 2 – $26.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the direct leader to develop and implement strategies to enhance operational results.
- Clearly define and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure alignment and desired outcomes.

- Address customer operational concerns appropriately in the absence of the direct leader.

- Uphold cleanliness standards throughout the store and ensure appropriate signage.
- Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels and making appropriate product orders.
- Merchandise products effectively to maximize sales potential.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of products on sale and maintain accuracy in product signage.
- Support the direct leader in achieving store payroll and total loss budgets, conduct inventory counts, and train new employees.
- Supervise daily operations of the team, escalating issues to leadership as needed.
- Ensure that direct reports fulfill their responsibilities promptly and effectively, providing exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all established company policies and procedures while ensuring the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving; capable of placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.
