Job description:

Counts and maintains accurate records of truck inventory and finished goods transported from the facility for sales delivery or distribution to other warehouses. Responsible for receiving finished goods into inventory and ensuring proper record-keeping. Unloads transport trucks delivering finished products to the warehouse and organizes the items in their designated storage locations. Prepares empty pallets and plastic storage flats/shells for return to the manufacturing facility via transport truck. Loads pre-assembled multi-product pallets onto local delivery trucks. This role encompasses essential shipping, receiving, inventory management, and housekeeping responsibilities. Candidates must be able to pass a Forklift Driving Skills test, where applicable.

The position entails climbing onto trailers and route trucks, as well as maneuvering and pushing cases that weigh between 20 to 45 pounds. Employees often operate independently with minimal supervision.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Accurately count and record floor and truck inventories.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (if applicable).
  • Receive and organize incoming items in accordance with warehouse standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized storage layout for all items handled.
  • Uphold cleanliness in the designated work area, including the yard and warehouse.
  • Timely and safely reload route trucks.
  • Sort and store partial cases of products returned on route trucks.
  • Keep daily checklist records up to date.
  • Exhibit effective communication, customer service skills, and conflict resolution with team members.
  • Ensure compliance with audit standards.
  • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass the Forklift Driving Skills test, if applicable.

Helpful Experience:

  • Familiarity with inventory counting and tracking using basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Experience in inventory control, including monitoring levels on the shop floor or tracking products in the warehouse.
  • Knowledge of process control and documentation, including product checks and compliance with quality standards under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of warehousing operations, including SKU configuration, case and pallet quantities, warehouse layout, and safety standards.
  • Competence in using technology, such as hand-held remote devices, spreadsheet creation, and maintaining gate logs to document product movement.
