Job description:

Counts and records truck inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of finished goods transported from the facility for sales delivery or distribution to other warehouses. Responsible for receiving finished goods into inventory and maintaining thorough records. Unloads transport trucks delivering finished products to the warehouse and organizes items in designated storage areas. Prepares empty pallets and plastic storage containers for return transport to the manufacturing location. Additionally, loads pre-made multi-product pallets onto local delivery trucks. This position encompasses primary responsibilities in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace. Candidates must be able to pass a Forklift Driving Skills test, if relevant.

The role involves climbing onto trailers and delivery trucks, as well as lifting and pushing cases weighing between 20 and 45 pounds. The position may often be performed independently with minimal supervision.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Conduct inventory counts for both floor and trucks
• Safely operate a forklift as necessary
• Accurately receive and store incoming items according to established warehouse standards
• Maintain a systematic and orderly arrangement for all items in storage
• Uphold cleanliness standards in the assigned work area, including the yard and warehouse
• Efficiently reload delivery trucks in a safe manner
• Sort and store partial cases of products returned on delivery trucks
• Keep meticulous records of the daily checklist
• Exhibit effective communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills with colleagues
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards
• Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a Forklift Driving Skills test, if applicable

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Inventory counting and tracking using basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.)
• Inventory control and management within a warehouse setting
• Process control and documentation experience, including product verification and adherence to quality standards under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including SKU configuration, pallet organization, and safety standards
• Computer proficiency, particularly with handheld devices, spreadsheets, and inventory tracking logs
