Job Description
Job Title: General Environmental Technician Foreman
Company: City of Detroit
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $39102 – 47884 per year
AI Pay Analysis: The annual salary range of $39,102 to $47,884 for a “General Environmental Technician Foreman” in Detroit, MI, translates to an hourly rate of approximately $18.79 to $23.04, which appears to be below the typical market rate for similar positions in the environmental sector. According to various salary reports and industry standards, foreman roles in this field often command higher wages, especially considering the experience and expertise required for supervisory positions. Additionally, factors such as cost of living and demand for skilled technicians in metropolitan areas like Detroit typically suggest that a more competitive range would be closer to the mid-$20s to low $30s per hour. Thus, the offered rate seems less competitive in comparison to prevailing industry standards in that location.
