Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant General Manager to become an integral part of our team. As the Restaurant General Manager, your primary focus will be on delivering an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that each guest leaves with a memorable impression.

Your diverse range of responsibilities will include recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, providing training, ensuring food quality, developing and executing restaurant marketing strategies, creating menus, as well as greeting and serving guests. Below is a detailed list of your expected duties:

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant operation
  • Deliver exceptional guest services, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Plan and update menus to enhance our offerings
  • Develop and implement the overall restaurant marketing strategy
  • Oversee the restaurant’s technology systems
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly
  • Organize and supervise shifts for staff
  • Lead and manage employees effectively
  • Develop and nurture both hourly and salaried staff
  • Recruit and onboard new employees
  • Terminate employees when required
  • Train staff and evaluate their performance
  • Manage food costs, forecast inventory requirements, and maintain stock levels
  • Oversee supplies management, including smallwares
  • Control costs and minimize waste within the operation
  • Create and maintain a positive and productive working environment
  • Implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity, sales, and food quality

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally possess 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a similar role
  • Demonstrated 5+ years of customer service management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of food and wine
  • Proficient in computer literacy
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Experience in event planning
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills
  • Competence in financial management
