Job description:

We are excited to invite applications for the position of General Manager at our restaurant, situated within the Delta Hotels Kalamazoo Conference Center. This is a full-time management role dedicated to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a genuine passion for hospitality, and a thorough understanding of food production and safety standards. This pivotal position is essential to ensuring seamless restaurant operations while providing guests with a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, maintaining high standards for food quality and customer service.
• Manage staff scheduling and shift management to enhance workforce efficiency.
• Conduct interviews and hire new team members, cultivating a positive work environment.
• Train and mentor staff in hospitality best practices, food safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production.
• Develop and implement strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within both kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with upper management to create budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
• Lead the relaunch of our lobby café.
• Work closely with ownership and the Director of Engineering to develop and execute capital projects.
• Ensure 100% compliance with MGS training and BSA audited brand standards.
