Job description:
Job Purpose: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s operations while upholding established cost and quality standards to ensure exceptional service delivery and maximize profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
– Develop both short-term and long-term financial and operational strategies for the hotel that align with the company’s overarching objectives. Prepare the annual hotel budget accordingly.
– Monitor hotel performance through the assessment and analysis of guest satisfaction metrics and monthly financial reports, taking corrective action as necessary.
– Uphold product and service quality standards by conducting continuous evaluations and addressing any complaints that arise, implementing corrective measures when required.
– Implement and sustain local and national sales and marketing initiatives to enhance visibility and drive business.
– Establish a proactive human resources framework focused on employee engagement, training and development, benefits administration, and compliance with labor regulations.
– Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to safeguard the hotel’s physical assets.
– Oversee security measures to protect the hotel’s assets as well as the safety of both employees and guests.
– Foster two-way communication systems across departmental lines to ensure all employees are informed and engaged.
– Create and introduce new programs aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
– Ensure adherence to established company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
– Recognize and reward employees who consistently meet or exceed guest expectations.
– Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
– Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with brand-specific Property Management Systems.

Job Qualifications:

Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be capable of driving to customer appointments.
