Job description:

Express Employment is currently seeking a Field Installer (Glazier/Glass Installer) for a reputable company in the Brighton, MI area. Responsibilities:

  • Install bullet-resistant products in financial institutions, such as banks and credit unions, as well as convenience stores.
  • Manage tasks related to the receipt, storage, shipment, and fabrication of products and materials, including:
    • Unloading and loading trailers.
    • Fabrication as necessary.
    • Utilizing mechanical and power tools, equipment, and technology essential for successful installation.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and manuals to ascertain dimensions and tolerances of the finished product.
  • Uphold and enforce basic housekeeping standards and safe operating procedures, such as compliance with OSHA regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), along with basic building maintenance tasks.
  • Foster excellent customer satisfaction by delivering superior quality and service.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment to achieve company objectives and address customer issues.
  • Operate a company vehicle as required.
  • Travel extensively, dedicating 75% of work time to traveling to and from installation sites.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • CDL license is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic mathematical skills.
  • Prior glass installation experience is required.
