Become a key member of our Gourmet-To-Go team! Nino Salvaggio is seeking a Gourmet-To-Go (Prepared Foods) Associate for our Clinton Township location.

Responsibilities:

  • Package, price, and label all prepared food items in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Assist customers with their orders and inquiries, both in person and over the phone, ensuring accurate processing and fulfillment of all requests.
  • Greet customers warmly and deliver prompt, courteous service and assistance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including store rules and standards of conduct as outlined in the employee handbook and as directed by management.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times, in compliance with company grooming and dress standards.
  • Perform stocking duties and other tasks as assigned based on sales volume and management direction.
  • Stay informed about quality standards, pricing, varieties, preparation methods, and other relevant details pertaining to products available in the department.
  • Utilize tools such as knives, box cutters, and slicers as necessary, ensuring compliance with age restrictions (must be 18 years or older to use slicers, bailers, etc.).
  • Manage damaged or spoiled products according to company and departmental guidelines and assist in minimizing the level of damaged goods.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation policies and procedures as detailed in the employee handbook and various guides.
  • Promptly report any safety or equipment issues or violations to management.
  • Properly handle, stock, prepare, and display all necessary products.
  • Count, separate, and weigh different types of products.
  • Provide assistance in training fellow associates as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Availability to work on weekends is essential.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for periods of 8 hours or more is required.
