Job description:
The Guest Room Attendant, under the supervision of the Hotel Housekeeping Floor Supervisor and the Inspector/Guest Room Attendant, is tasked with performing essential cleaning duties to uphold the cleanliness of guest rooms, open areas, and corridors within the hotel complex. This role involves servicing a minimum of 17 rooms during each shift and is dedicated to delivering attentive, cheerful, courteous, and professional customer service to all guests—both internal and external—with a commitment to exceeding their expectations.
Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Remove all used linens from bathrooms and bedrooms.
- Collect and dispose of trash while ensuring cleanliness of receptacles.
- Wash and sanitize sinks, vanities, tubs, shower curtains, and toilets.
- Replenish linens and amenities, and replace shower curtains as needed.
- Clean all hard surface floors thoroughly.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in corridors and stairwells.
- Dust all room furnishings, including picture frames and headboards.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas, paying special attention to bed boxes and baseboards.
- Clean windows and mirrors to ensure clarity.
- Dust and vacuum curtains as required.
- Check room literature for completeness and replace any missing or damaged materials.
- Ensure that all clock radios, TVs, and lamps are in proper working order.
- Clean air conditioning units to maintain airflow.
- Check and wash walls as necessary.
- Sort, fold, and transport linens efficiently.
- Stock the cleaning cart with necessary supplies, including linens and chemicals, while documenting all stock levels.
- Restock storage rooms with essential housekeeping supplies.
- Load and unload washers as part of the laundry process.
- Report and document any maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of carts and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Rotate mattresses regularly as part of routine maintenance.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
