POSITION SUMMARY:
The Guest Room Attendant, reporting to the Hotel Housekeeping Floor Supervisor and Inspector/Guest Room Attendant, plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of guest accommodations and common areas within the Hotel complex. This position entails servicing 17 or more rooms during each shift, while consistently delivering attentive, cheerful, and professional customer service to both internal and external guests, with a commitment to exceeding their expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
– Remove used linens from bathrooms and bedrooms.
– Dispose of trash and clean receptacles.
– Wash and sanitize sinks, vanities, tubs, shower curtains, and toilets.
– Replenish linens and amenities, including replacing shower curtains.
– Clean and maintain all hard surface floors.
– Uphold sanitary conditions in corridors and stairwells.
– Dust all room furnishings, including pictures and headboards.
– Vacuum all carpeted areas, ensuring thoroughness around bed boxes and baseboards.
– Clean windows and mirrors to maintain clarity.
– Dust and vacuum curtains.
– Check for room literature and replace any missing or damaged materials.
– Inspect clock radios, TVs, and lamps to ensure proper functionality.
– Clean air conditioning units.
– Inspect and wash walls as necessary.
– Sort, fold, and transport linens efficiently.
– Stock the cleaning cart with necessary supplies, including linens and chemicals, and document inventory.
– Restock housekeeping storage rooms with essential supplies.
– Operate washers by loading and unloading as required.
– Report and document any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of carts and storage areas throughout the shift.
– Rotate mattresses on a regular basis.
– Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Basic mathematical proficiency is preferred. Ability to read and follow written instructions is required. Candidates must be adaptable to high-stress situations and able to work extended hours as needed. Building effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and the public is critical. Flexibility and availability for various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required. Preference is given to Native American candidates.
