Opportunity: Guest Service Agent
We are seeking a dedicated Guest Service Agent to warmly greet, register, and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner, in line with hotel, brand, and sustainability standards.
Your Growth Path:
This position offers opportunities for advancement to roles such as Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator, leading to Front Office Manager or Sales Manager positions.
Your Focus:
– Provide immediate greetings to guests and offer assistance with their needs.
– Efficiently register and assign guests to their hotel rooms.
– Establish and verify methods of payment, including credit checks.
– Handle reservations, making and confirming bookings as required.
– Calculate bills, process payments, and provide change to guests.
– Manage communication by transmitting and receiving messages through telephones or the PMS system.
– Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
– Address and resolve guest complaints effectively, escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
– Ensure the security of guests’ valuables by utilizing the hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes when no in-room safe is available.
– Perform bookkeeping tasks such as balancing accounts and conducting audits.
– Monitor guest satisfaction scores and actively work to enhance both departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
– Uphold sustainability practices in accordance with HHM’s EarthView program.
– Adhere to safety protocols by wearing protective equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards.
– Assist in the breakfast area or provide support to guests with luggage during peak times or when staffing assistance is needed.
– Aim to ensure overall guest satisfaction and perform other duties as directed by management.
Your Background and Skills:
– A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
– Prior customer service experience or equivalent training is required.
– Familiarity with PMS systems is preferred.
Work Environment and Context:
– The work schedule is variable and may involve working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
– Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
