In this role, you will place patients at the forefront of our operations, embodying our commitment to exceptional care as a Hanger Prosthetist and/or Orthotist. You will draw upon extensive training and engage with a collaborative clinical community of nearly 1,500 providers to offer or supervise comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic services. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting follow-ups, and participating in practice management. For those not yet certified, care will be provided under the guidance of our certified clinicians.
As a Clinic Manager, the Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist will also oversee clinical operations, managing practice personnel—including practitioners, technicians, and administrative staff—to achieve both financial and clinical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee practice operations to ensure the attainment of daily, weekly, and monthly sales, revenue, cash, and accounts receivable goals.
- Maintain quality assurance programs to uphold patient satisfaction with our services.
- Coordinate sales and marketing initiatives to cultivate and expand referral sources, enhancing revenue opportunities.
- Manage practice expenses and resources to align with or exceed budgetary expectations.
- Ensure compliance with bloodborne pathogen standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and other governmental safety mandates.
- Uphold adherence to the Hanger Compliance Program and Code of Professional and Business Ethics among all employees.
- Provide necessary resources and incentives to practice employees to meet their role expectations.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation is maintained by all practitioners.
- Deliver direct patient care services tailored to Orthotic and/or Prosthetic conditions as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC); alternatively, a baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics (or foreign equivalent) and current ABC Board-Eligibility.
- A valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain state licensure as required.
- Five years of experience in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics with direct patient care is preferred.
- Two to four years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Two to four years of experience with third-party billing is preferred.
