Position Overview
The HCM Account Executive is tasked with prospecting and cultivating sales relationships within emerging markets, driving new business opportunities with prospective clients, and negotiating new and expanded sales agreements. In a fast-paced, competitive, and quota-driven environment focused on small businesses, successful Account Executives at Paylocity are proactive hunters who consistently seek new sales opportunities. This position is remote, specifically targeting the Columbus territory.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities by leveraging the company’s expertise, industry reputation, and relevant knowledge.
  • Schedule and present Paylocity’s services to prospective clients.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals while providing thorough follow-up throughout the sales process.
  • Organize, complete, and secure documentation necessary for clients to transition to the Paylocity system.
  • Collaborate directly with internal departments to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.
  • Utilize initiative to develop prospects through telemarketing, referrals, and various professional and personal networks.
  • Build and nurture relationships within the Broker channel and other referral sources.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to identify needs for additional services.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote Paylocity’s offerings.
  • Achieve or exceed established quarterly and annual sales quotas for your territory.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales position.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a competitive environment.

The compensation range for this position is $57,900 – $107,500 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position qualifies for our variable commission plan, annual bonus, and restricted stock grants based on individual performance, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
