Job description:

Vector Technical’s partner is the largest privately held heat treatment company in the United States, located in Willoughby, OH. This established manufacturing firm is seeking Heat Treat Specialists to join their dynamic operation.

Available Shifts:

  • 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM) – $19/hour
  • 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM) – $19/hour + $1.00 shift differential = $20/hour
  • 3rd Shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) – $19/hour + $1.10 shift differential = $20.10/hour
  • Base pay increases to $19.76/hour upon successful completion of training.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport parts to the staging area for production utilizing equipment such as forklifts, hoists, or pallet jacks.
  • Prepare production parts for heat treatment or metal finishing by packing them appropriately.
  • Operate the furnace; load parts into the hopper; temper, quench, and cool parts; and ensure specifications are met.
  • Unpack and repack finished products into customer containers for shipment.
  • Verify part numbers and ensure accurate matching with shipping documents and work orders.
  • Operate various equipment within the facility.
  • Effectively communicate production issues to supervisors and/or operators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in adherence to good housekeeping practices.

Requirements for the Heat Treat Specialist:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reliability and consistent attendance are critical for success.
  • A minimum of one year of manufacturing experience is required.
  • Previous experience in heat treating is advantageous.
