Job description:

As a Home Delivery Driver for Mom’s Meals, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive their meals for the upcoming week. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading pre-packaged boxes of meals from designated cold storage facilities to our customers’ homes. Demonstrating prompt delivery and providing exceptional customer service are fundamental to our Core Values at Mom’s Meals.

Work Schedule: 4-Day Work Week – Tuesday to Friday
Compensation: $17.00 per hour, with a monthly bonus opportunity

Position Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a company vehicle while adhering to traffic laws at all times.
  • Load meals into the company vehicle at the designated cold storage facility.
  • Deliver meals to clients, often assisting them by bringing meals into their homes.
  • Communicate with clients regarding any delivery issues or pertinent information for your region.
  • Accurately and consistently record deliveries using the MMHD delivery application.
  • Follow all food-related sanitation and food safety procedures diligently.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all clients.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment in a safe operating condition.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or vehicle damage immediately to your supervisor to ensure timely repairs.
  • Assist with vehicle and driver audits as required.
  • Ensure that all deliveries are executed in accordance with established protocols.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
  • Strong communication skills in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Proficiency in operating a smartphone.
  • Comfortable using GPS routing technology.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to drive in various weather and traffic conditions.
  • Willingness to work in variable weather conditions.
  • Previous experience adhering to company policies and demonstrating core values.
  • Successful completion of a post-offer drug screening and background check.
  • Passing results in a post-offer Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) lookup.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a delivery role is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sufficient physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
