Job Title: Home Health Aide

Company: Norwill Healthcare Services

Location: Cleveland, OH

Pay: $15 – 15.5 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $15 – $15.50 for a Home Health Aide in Cleveland, OH, is relatively competitive but generally aligns with the lower end of the spectrum for this role in the region. As of 2023, the average hourly wage for home health aides in Ohio typically ranges from $12 to $18, depending on factors such as experience, certification, and the specific employer. While the offered rate may attract some job seekers, especially those entering the field, it may not fully reflect the cost of living in Cleveland or the demands of the job, which includes healthcare responsibilities and often requires personal care skills. Employers may need to consider higher wages or benefits to attract and retain skilled aides in a competitive labor market.

Job description:

Are you a compassionate caregiver at heart? Our mission is to find dedicated individuals who aspire to reach their potential while making a meaningful impact in their communities. Regardless of your experience level, we offer comprehensive training to provide you with the essential skills to excel as a home health aide (HHA) or advance your career in nursing if you choose to do so. All we ask is for your commitment; we’ll equip you with the knowledge to succeed!

Your Responsibilities:
As an HHA, your primary role will be to enhance the daily lives of your patients by alleviating certain challenges they face. This includes visiting their homes to provide essential care, such as meal planning and personal grooming. Your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Monitoring the physical and mental conditions of your patient(s), including their intake and output, and levels of activity.
  • Performing housekeeping and laundry duties, shopping for groceries and household necessities, preparing meals and snacks, and running errands.
  • Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Educating patients on the use of mobility aids, adaptive eating utensils, and personal hygiene techniques.
  • Guiding family members in providing care, including proper methods for lifting and repositioning, as well as advising on nutrition and home cleanliness.
  • Documenting relevant information in the patient’s journal and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor.

Qualifications:
We seek attentive listeners who recognize that this role extends beyond merely completing assigned tasks. As an HHA, you will leverage your knowledge of the community to create enriching experiences for your patients. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Ability to foster and maintain a safe and supportive environment.
  • Understanding of health promotion and maintenance principles.
  • Hands-on nursing skills or experience in healthcare administration.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Emotional stability and control.
  • Previous experience in medical teamwork is beneficial, though a willingness to learn is equally valued; we provide training for HHA certifications.

What We Offer:
Your satisfaction is paramount, and we are committed to ensuring your well-being and professional growth. We strive to provide:

  • Referral bonuses
  • Daily pay options (Powered by TAP CHECK)
  • Support for work-life balance
  • Employee events to foster community
  • Peer learning opportunities
  • Professional development initiatives
