Job Description
Job Title: Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant – Hospice Aide
Company: SouthernCare Hospice Services
Location: Youngstown, OH
Pay: $14.2 – 16.75 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly wage of $14.20 to $16.75 for the role of “Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant – Hospice Aide” in Youngstown, OH, appears to be relatively competitive but may be on the lower end compared to national averages. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of 2023, the average hourly pay for nursing assistants is approximately $16 to $20, varying by factors such as experience, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. Additionally, hospice aides often require specialized training, which can justify a higher wage. In Youngstown, the cost of living is lower than the national average, which could make this wage more attractive, but potential candidates might still seek employers offering higher pay or additional benefits to reflect the essential and emotionally demanding nature of hospice care. Overall, while not the highest in the market, this pay range offers a reasonable start for individuals entering the field.
