Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Building and Grounds Keeper to join our exceptional team at Comfort Suites Marysville. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of both the interior and exterior of the hotel in accordance with Choice Hotels brand standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, HVAC system maintenance, and general building repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues or concerns.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
  • Maintain the grounds by performing tasks such as trash removal, weeding, and cleaning around dumpster areas, along with any other duties assigned by the manager.
  • Manage inventory and maintain the necessary supplies and equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, protocols, and brand standards.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to hotel guests, staff, and management.
  • Perform touch-up painting as required.
  • Oversee upkeep of the pool area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in facilities management or a hotel setting is preferred.
  • Ability to complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Experience with carpet cleaning as needed.
  • Basic electrical knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with effective communication abilities with guests, staff, and management.
