In this Role:
- Lead and provide direction to hotel staff across various departments, including front desk, guest services, gift shop, valet/bell service, and transportation.
- Educate and train staff in the established service protocols to ensure consistency in guest experiences.
- Cultivate a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
- Support the Assistant Hotel Manager in managing day-to-day hotel operations, encompassing check-in/check-out processes, room assignments, maintenance requests, and other guest services.
- Address operational issues and guest concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Uphold and advocate for the AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
- Ensure that all guests receive outstanding service and enjoy a memorable stay.
- Monitor guest feedback and respond to inquiries, requests, and opportunities in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on exceeding expectations.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold cleanliness, safety, and quality throughout the property.
- Facilitate effective communication between departments, particularly with Housekeeping, to ensure seamless room availability and status coordination.
- Keep the Assistant Hotel Manager apprised of significant issues, developments, or opportunities for enhancement.
- Assist in the training of new hires and in providing continuous training and development opportunities for existing staff.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, seeking solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest opportunities and conflicts with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintain adequate stock levels while controlling costs.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers for timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce policies to maintain a secure environment for guests and team members.
- Collaborate with the Housekeeping team to gather insights on guest preferences and address challenges, ensuring an enhanced overall guest experience.
- Evaluate and provide coaching regarding team member performance.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in team member engagement and guest satisfaction, aiming to meet annual retention goals for the department.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with teams from Catering & Sales, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Marketing, Internal Maintenance, Facilities, Security, Warehouse, Laundry, as well as third-party vendors.

Essential Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; some college education or a degree is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a guest service-oriented role within a full-service hotel is required; experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and systems is required.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems such as Versa, Duetto, Delphi, and MS Office is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, including front office procedures, reservations management, and housekeeping standards.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, coupled with the capability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in presenting information effectively—verbally and in writing—as well as active listening.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Possession or the ability to obtain a TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures by Servers of Alcohol) certification is required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Chauffeur’s License designation.
- Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
