Job description:

A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel are kept clean and visually appealing. This role involves daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, which includes stocking the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, the position may involve performing ‘deep cleaning’ activities within guest rooms in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.

  • Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for the housekeeping cart setup.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May be required to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging closet doors.
