Job description:

Job Summary
The Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and attractiveness. This position requires daily servicing of guest rooms in alignment with hotel procedures, including stocking carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing amenities, all while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, the Housekeeper may be tasked with conducting deep cleaning activities within guest rooms, as well as performing preventative maintenance duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in the hotel or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing, are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Approach all interactions with guests and team members with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor.

  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag as per brand standards.
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock a specified number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including but not limited to preparing the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens.
  • Remove all trash and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms as necessary to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
