Job description:

In the capacity of Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the Community’s interior, including residents’ apartments, is maintained in a clean, sanitary, and welcoming manner.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping duties for both the Community and individual resident apartments. This encompasses vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning main entryways, common areas, dining rooms, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
• In resident apartments, responsibilities include cleaning and defrosting refrigerators as needed, checking and cleaning heating system filters, changing beds and linens, and ensuring adequate linen supplies are available. Additionally, you will turn mattresses (with assistance) as necessary and empty waste baskets.
• Conduct deep cleaning of apartments when necessary, paying special attention to the main entry area as well as carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens in the provided laundry facilities.
• Adhere to Company sanitation and safety procedures.

Server Responsibilities:

• Welcome residents and guests at each table with a smile while serving beverages, cereals, and/or soups and salads from the cart.
• Courteously and clearly present the meal menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts.
• Return the cart to the kitchen and assist with the storage of perishable items. If needed, deliver trays to residents’ rooms.
• Bus and clear dishes from tables following meals, resetting for the next meal while adhering to proper sanitization procedures for tables and chairs as outlined in the Food Service Guidelines. Vacuum carpets as necessary.
• Complete assigned side work, which includes filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning the coffee maker.
• Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication skills in English with both employees and residents.
• General understanding of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
