Job description:
As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining clean and appealing guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel. Your responsibilities will include daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with established hotel procedures, stocking housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Occasionally, you may be tasked with deep cleaning activities within guest rooms alongside preventative maintenance functions.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in a hotel or related field.
- Strong attention to detail is essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with guests and team members.
- Clear communication of information and ideas is required.
- The ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select among alternative courses of action is necessary.
- Must maintain composure and perform well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently engage with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Adhere to regular attendance requirements as outlined by Aimbridge Hospitality standards, which may vary based on the hotel’s needs.
- Maintain high personal appearance standards and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag according to brand guidelines.
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms in each shift.
- Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including preparation of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
- Collect and dispose of all trash and used linens from guest rooms.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- You may need to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to facilitate deep cleaning.
- Deep cleaning responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls or moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or re-hanging sliding doors.
