Job description:

Job Summary:
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and attractiveness of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. This position involves daily servicing of guest rooms in alignment with hotel procedures, restocking carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, the Housekeeper may be tasked with performing deep cleaning activities within guest rooms, in conjunction with preventative maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates who have experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.

  • Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to preparing the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens.
  • Remove all trash and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
  • Disassemble furniture or other items in guest rooms as necessary to conduct deep cleaning.
  • Execute deep cleaning tasks, which may include changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
