Job description:

We are currently seeking candidates for full-time and part-time Housekeeper positions to join our dedicated team at Ascension Providence Hospital, located at 16001 West 9 Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48075. Please note that we are accepting online applications exclusively.

The schedule for this role offers both full-time and part-time options, with varying days and hours, predominantly during the morning shift. Further details will be provided during the interview process. Previous experience in housekeeping is not required.

Compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 to $15.50 per hour. Additionally, we are pleased to offer an internal employee referral bonus for our associates.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing light cleaning duties to ensure that our facilities remain clean and orderly, including hotels, restaurants, and hospitals. Your essential duties will include:

  • Delivering quality customer service through dedicated attention to detail.
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Vacuuming carpets, rugs, and draperies.
  • Shampooing carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
  • Dusting and polishing furniture and fittings.
  • Cleaning metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Emptying and cleaning trash containers and disposing of waste in a sanitary manner.
  • Cleaning wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
  • Wiping down glass surfaces.
  • Making up beds and changing linens as needed.
  • Realigning furniture and amenities according to specified layouts.
  • Addressing guest inquiries and requests.
  • Responding to calls regarding housekeeping issues, such as spills or broken items.
  • Contributing to team efforts and demonstrating professionalism at all times.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
