Job description:

Maintains the cleanliness of hospital facilities in accordance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency standards. Responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts cleaning and restocking of all assigned areas, adhering to departmental standards and guidelines.
  • Disposes of trash, biomedical waste, and solid waste materials in designated disposal areas.
  • Prepares patient rooms for occupancy following patient discharge.
  • Replaces supplies as necessary.
  • Notifies the supervisor of any potential issues and safety hazards.
  • Performs additional related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications:
Preferred:

  • A minimum of six (6) months of housekeeping or maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
