Rushton Recovery is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team for a part-time position, requiring 20 hours of work per week. Our facility, located in the heart of South Lyon, MI, specializes in Medical Detox and Residential treatment services. We pride ourselves on offering comprehensive support to individuals seeking recovery, backed by a team of seasoned medical and therapeutic professionals who provide around-the-clock assistance. Our expansive 30+ acre campus delivers evidence-based treatment in a nurturing and structured environment, complemented by a range of therapeutic, recreational, and mindfulness services. Our mission is to foster holistic healing of the mind, body, and spirit, benefitting both clients and their families alike.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or possess the requisite work permit and authorization documents.
- Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
- A positive attitude, strong teamwork capabilities, and a commitment to delivering quality work are essential.
- The ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform light lifting (under 15 pounds) is required.
- A valid driver’s license is necessary.
- CPR certification is preferred; non-certified staff will receive training through Rushton Recovery.
- A TB risk assessment is required upon hire, with the possibility of subsequent testing.
- While prior housekeeping experience is preferred, experience in a related field is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is desirable, although not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.
- Promote a customer-oriented service culture through active hospitality.
- Ensure cleanliness in all designated areas, including bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, common areas, and offices.
- Keep all facility bathrooms clean at all times.
- Manage all laundry-related tasks for Rushton Recovery.
- Safely remove trash and replace receptacles with new bags.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as required.
- Set up and display appropriate caution/safety signage before conducting cleaning tasks that may pose any risk, and remove signage upon task completion.
- Report any health, safety, and sanitation concerns to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Maintain clean and hazard-free workspaces, securing housekeeping supplies when not in use.
- Utilize appropriate safety gear when handling hazardous materials or chemicals.
- Follow established policies regarding labeling and safety data sheets.
- Interact with clients, staff, and guests in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Assist in the evacuation of clients during emergencies, such as fires.
