At Sunrise, our Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere for residents, families, and team members. The Housekeeper is accountable for performing housekeeping and laundry duties, ensuring that we meet and exceed Sunrise’s quality service standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and assigned support areas while adhering to Sunrise’s high-quality standards.
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry.
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators in resident care upon request.
  • Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and uphold risk management policies, demonstrating adherence to safety rules and regulations.
  • Implement safety procedures consistently, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguisher readiness, awareness of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures.
  • Recognize that exposure to blood, bodily fluids, hazardous materials, and infectious diseases may occur.
  • Actively engage as a team member, committing to work toward collective goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to provide exemplary housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment that meets or exceeds Sunrise’s standards.
  • Passion for working with seniors.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
