Job description:

We are actively seeking to fill a Housekeeper position at our facility located at 261 Mack Blvd., Detroit, MI 48201. Please note that only online applications will be accepted.

The work schedule will be on an on-call basis, with shifts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays, and rotating weekends from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training for all new hires.

The compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of $20.10.

As a Housekeeper, your role will involve performing light cleaning duties to ensure that our establishments—ranging from hotels to hospitals—are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. This includes tasks such as making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, and vacuuming, among other responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with attention to detail.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery as needed.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
  • Clean and maintain metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Empty and clean trash containers, disposing of waste in a hygienic manner.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces.
  • Make beds and change linens as required.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layouts.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Address housekeeping issues, such as spills or broken items.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
