Job description:
A housekeeper’s primary responsibility is to ensure that guest rooms are clean and comfortable, adhering to the high standards set by Veridea Group, while prioritizing guest satisfaction through courteous and friendly service.
Essential Functions:
- Provide sincere and courteous assistance to all guests, consistently going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms thoroughly and accurately in accordance with Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies, ensuring optimal guest satisfaction. This includes:
- Removing soiled bed and bath linens and replacing them with clean linens.
- Disposing of trash and debris from guest rooms.
- Cleaning all surfaces in the bathroom.
- Dusting all surfaces.
- Replenishing promotional materials and literature.
- Restocking room amenities.
- Vacuuming the room.
- Following Extra Thoughtful Care procedures for stay-over rooms.
- Completing checkouts in 30 minutes or less.
- Reporting unusual circumstances to the supervisor.
- Promptly addressing maintenance requests.
- Logging in articles left in rooms and registering them in the Lost & Found Logbook.
- Maintain a clean and organized cart and vacuum cleaner to enhance job efficiency.
- Report all "DO NOT DISTURB" signs or bolted doors to the supervisor to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Organize storage areas to maintain quality and maximize efficiency, including:
- Checking stock levels to ensure sufficiency for daily tasks.
- Restocking storage rooms and/or carts.
- Pulling damaged or rewashable linens and returning them to laundry storage.
- Secure linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to maintain safety and security at all times.
- Develop a working knowledge of the property and all facilities to effectively address guest inquiries.
- Understand and adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Keep direct supervisors promptly informed of any significant problems or unusual situations to facilitate timely corrective action.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
