Job description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough quality control checks of our furnished rental units following each cleaning to ensure they are ready for our guests. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and staging units, verifying the quality of housekeeping work, managing inventory and supply checks, transporting supplies to properties as needed, performing minor maintenance tasks, and executing cleaning duties to uphold our high standards of cleanliness.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a personable and organized demeanor, and a friendly approach. You should also be self-reliant, capable of leading on-site tasks and inspections. Daily activities will involve traveling to various properties within the area in coordination with our booking calendar, so comfort with being mobile is essential alongside proficiency in managing tasks within the properties.

Please note that this position is classified as a 1099 independent contractor role and does not include employee benefits or protections.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular quality control checks of rental units after each cleaning to ensure compliance with company standards and guest expectations.
  • Identify areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback and additional training to housekeeping staff as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control inspections and the corrective actions taken.
  • Perform cleaning duties as required to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in rental units.
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, laundry, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces, are completed thoroughly and punctually.
  • Collaborate with the Property Manager and Maintenance Staff to address any maintenance or repair issues identified during inspections.
  • Order and stock items in the owner’s closet at each location, transporting supplies between properties as needed.
  • Track and report inventory levels using the inventory management system.
  • Organize and maintain the owner’s closets at each location.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Property Inspection or a similar role with knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Must possess a smartphone and display willingness to take photographs of units and items daily.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both staff and guests.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Macomb and Oakland County.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is an asset.
