Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to join our esteemed team. The Housekeeping Inspector will play a critical role in conducting quality control checks of our furnished rental units following each cleaning, ensuring that they are fully prepared for our guests. This position involves inspecting and staging units, overseeing the performance of housekeepers, organizing inventory and supply checks, delivering supplies to properties as needed, performing minor maintenance tasks, coordinating with maintenance vendors, and executing cleaning duties to uphold our standards of cleanliness. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as the Inspector will interact directly with our guests.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a keen attention to detail, possess a personable and organized approach, and demonstrate self-reliance in executing on-site tasks and inspections. Daily responsibilities will include traveling between our properties according to our booking calendar, necessitating comfort both in transit and within the properties.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct regular quality control checks of rental units post-cleaning to ensure compliance with company standards and guest expectations.
– Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback and training to housekeeping staff as necessary.
– Maintain meticulous records of quality control inspections and documentation related to damage claims.
– Execute cleaning duties as needed to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards within rental units.
– Ensure the thorough and timely completion of cleaning tasks, which include vacuuming, laundry, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
– Collaborate with the Property Manager and Maintenance Staff to address any maintenance or repair issues identified during inspections.
– Order and stock items in the owner’s closet at each property and facilitate the transfer of supplies between locations.
– Monitor and report on inventory levels within the inventory management system.
– Organize and maintain the owner’s closets at each location.
– Provide exceptional front-facing customer service to guests to ensure a 5-star experience.

Qualifications:
– A minimum of 2 years of experience in property management is required.
– Previous experience in short- to mid-term rental hospitality and quality inspection/quality assurance is preferred.
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential.
– Must possess a smartphone and the willingness to photograph units and items daily.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both staff and guests.
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
– Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
– Reliable transportation for travel throughout Macomb and Oakland County is necessary.
– Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
