Job description:
A housekeeper’s primary responsibility is to ensure that guest rooms are clean and comfortable, adhering to the Veridea Group’s standards while promoting guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide exceptional assistance to all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, consistently going above and beyond to guarantee their satisfaction.
2. Execute thorough and precise cleaning and preparation of guest rooms in accordance with Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies and standards to enhance guest satisfaction, including:
a. Removing soiled bed and bath linens and replacing them with fresh linens.
b. Disposing of trash and debris from guest rooms.
c. Cleaning all bathroom surfaces.
d. Dusting all surfaces.
e. Replenishing promotional materials and literature.
f. Refilling room amenities.
g. Vacuuming the room.
h. Adhering to Extra Thoughtful Care procedures in stay-over rooms.
i. Completing checkouts in 30 minutes or less.
j. Reporting unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
k. Promptly reporting maintenance requests.
l. Returning items left in rooms to the supervisor and documenting them in the Lost & Found Logbook.
3. Maintain a clean and organized cart and vacuum cleaner to maximize job efficiency.
4. Report all “DO NOT DISTURB” or bolted door rooms to the supervisor to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
5. Organize storage areas to uphold the quality of contents and optimize job efficiency, which includes:
a. Checking stock levels to assess adequacy for daily tasks.
b. Restocking storage rooms and/or carts.
c. Removing damaged and/or rewash linen and returning it to laundry storage areas.
6. Secure linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes at all times to ensure maximum safety and security.
7. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the property and its facilities to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
8. Understand and apply all hotel safety and security protocols as necessary to create a secure environment for both employees and guests.
9. Keep immediate supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual matters promptly, so that corrective actions can be taken swiftly.
10. Perform additional duties as requested or required.

2. Clean a guest room completely within 30 minutes or less.
