A housekeeper plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms in accordance with Veridea Group standards. This position is essential for maintaining guest satisfaction through attentive and courteous service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide sincere and courteous assistance to all guests, consistently striving to exceed their expectations and ensure their satisfaction.
2. Execute thorough cleaning and preparation of guest rooms following both Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies and standards, which includes:
a. Removing soiled bed and bath linens and replacing them with fresh linens.
b. Clearing trash and debris from guest rooms.
c. Cleaning all surfaces in the bathroom area.
d. Dusting all surfaces.
e. Restocking promotional materials and literature.
f. Refreshing room amenities.
g. Vacuuming the room.
h. Implementing Extra Thoughtful Care procedures in stay-over rooms.
i. Completing room checkouts in 30 minutes or less.
j. Reporting unusual circumstances to the supervisor.
k. Promptly addressing maintenance requests.
l. Turning in articles left in rooms and registering them in the Lost & Found Logbook.
3. Maintain a clean and organized cart and vacuum cleaner to enhance job efficiency.
4. Report all “DO NOT DISTURB” or bolted door situations to the supervisor, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
5. Organize storage areas to uphold the quality of contents and maximize operational efficiency, which involves:
a. Checking stock levels to ensure adequacy for daily tasks.
b. Restocking storage areas and carts as needed.
c. Pulling damaged or rewash linens and returning them to the laundry storage areas.
6. Secure linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to uphold safety and security.
7. Acquire a working knowledge of the property and its facilities to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
8. Understand and apply all hotel safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for both employees and guests.
9. Keep the immediate supervisor fully informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences to facilitate prompt resolutions.
10. Undertake additional duties as required or requested.
