Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor housekeeping staff to meet and exceed cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure the prompt turnover of all vacant and clean rooms; monitor stayovers, communicate early checkouts, and address issues with the front office.
  • Provide coaching, support, and recognition to team members as needed.
  • Uphold and advocate Great Wolf policies and collaborate with leadership on performance management for the department and its team members.
  • Participate in staff scheduling, labor management, and forecasting.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of training programs for both new hires and ongoing employee development.
  • Create and assign daily tasks and projects to optimize team performance and maintain lodge cleanliness.
  • Conduct daily meetings with Room Attendants and House Attendants to prioritize tasks and gather feedback.
  • Relay pack feedback to leadership.
  • Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, damage, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control; provide constructive feedback to Room Attendants to enhance accountability and performance.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of linen storage, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts, while promoting safety standards.
  • Supervise staff activities to guarantee compliance with resort standards and manage time and attendance.
  • Participate in recruitment processes and aid in the selection of talent for the housekeeping department.
  • Assist in conducting regular team meetings and planning engagement activities for team members.
  • Oversee the completion and proper communication of maintenance work orders and other department concerns.
  • Schedule deep cleaning and carpet care according to a bi-yearly schedule and guest feedback.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a Rooms Division supervisor or similar supervisory role.
  • Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience or equivalent formal education.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general software systems; proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with HotSos or similar systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven customer service skills, conflict resolution abilities, employee engagement, retention, and team-building skills; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Desired Qualifications & Traits:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a large family resort or hotel.
  • Familiarity with Opera or similar systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
