A housekeeper’s primary responsibility is to maintain clean and comfortable guest rooms in accordance with Veridea Group standards while ensuring guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide assistance to all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, going above and beyond to ensure complete guest satisfaction whenever possible.
2. Execute thorough and accurate cleaning and setup of guest rooms in alignment with Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies and standards to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. This includes:
– Removing soiled bed and bath linens and replacing them with fresh linens.
– Clearing away trash and debris from guest rooms.
– Cleaning all surfaces within the bathroom.
– Dusting all surfaces throughout the room.
– Restocking promotional materials and literature.
– Refilling room amenities.
– Vacuuming the room.
– Adhering to Extra Thoughtful Care procedures for stay-over rooms.
– Completing room checkouts in 30 minutes or less.
– Reporting any unusual circumstances to the supervisor.
– Promptly notifying supervisors of maintenance requests.
– Safeguarding articles left in rooms by documenting them in the Lost & Found Logbook.
3. Maintain a clean and organized cart and vacuum cleaner to optimize job efficiency.
4. Report all “DO NOT DISTURB” signs or bolted door rooms to the supervisor to ensure guest safety and enhance guest satisfaction.
5. Organize storage areas to uphold the quality of contents and maximize efficiency on the job, which includes:
– Checking stock levels to confirm adequacy for daily tasks.
– Restocking storage rooms and/or carts as necessary.
– Removing damaged or unsuitable linens and returning them to the laundry storage areas.
6. Secure linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes at all times to guarantee maximum safety and security.
7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the property and its facilities to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
8. Comply with and implement all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment for both employees and guests.
9. Keep immediate supervisors informed promptly of any problems or unusual matters of significance that require attention, enabling timely corrective action.
10. Perform additional duties as requested or required.
