A housekeeper’s primary responsibility is to ensure that guest rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable, adhering to the standards set by Veridea Group, while also fostering guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide sincere and courteous assistance to all guests, consistently going the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction.
2. Methodically clean and set up guest rooms in accordance with Franchise and Veridea Group operational policies and standards, which includes:
a. Removing soiled bed and bath linens and replacing them with fresh ones.
b. Disposing of trash and debris from the guest room.
c. Ensuring the cleanliness of all surfaces in the bathroom area.
d. Dusting all surfaces thoroughly.
e. Replenishing promotional materials and literature.
f. Restocking room amenities.
g. Vacuuming the room.
h. Following Extra Thoughtful Care procedures for stay-over rooms.
i. Completing checkouts within 30 minutes or less.
j. Reporting any unusual circumstances to a supervisor.
k. Promptly addressing maintenance requests.
l. Documenting and registering articles left in rooms in the Lost & Found Logbook.
3. Maintain a clean and orderly cart and vacuum cleaner to enhance job efficiency.
4. Report all “DO NOT DISTURB” signs or locked door situations to a supervisor to ensure guest safety and maximize satisfaction.
5. Organize storage areas to maintain the quality of contents and optimize job efficiency by:
a. Checking stock levels to ensure adequacy for daily tasks.
b. Restocking storage rooms and carts as needed.
c. Removing damaged or soiled linens and returning them to the laundry storage area.
6. Ensure the security of linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes is maintained at all times by locking them.
7. Develop a working knowledge of the property and facilities to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
8. Understand and implement all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment for employees and guests.
9. Keep immediate supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual circumstances, facilitating prompt corrective action.
10. Perform additional duties as requested or required.
