Job description:

Entech Staffing is currently seeking a Shift Monitor to uphold the safety and security of residents within our Emergency Shelter Program. This role involves providing front desk support, screening visitors entering the facility, and ensuring that the premises are maintained in a clean and safe condition.

Location: Pontiac, MI
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Shift: Afternoons, 3 PM – 11 PM, Tuesday through Saturday

Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with guests residing in the shelter.
  • Oversee building coverage for the Emergency Shelter Program, ensuring the general safety of guests by monitoring shelter grounds. This includes conducting site walks and reviewing video surveillance.
  • Provide front desk support, including answering phones, performing light clerical tasks, and greeting/screening residents, visitors, and volunteers. Assist with delivering meals and essential items to guests, which may involve heavy lifting.
  • Respond to resident requests and assist with conflict resolution and crisis situations.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of onsite units and document findings.
  • Complete all paperwork and data entry accurately and promptly, including tracking services provided. This encompasses maintaining records in the HMIS (Homeless Management Information System), Link2Feed, daily call logs, daily statistics, client records, daily house logs, and any other assigned paperwork.
  • Participate in relevant staff and team meetings.
  • Assist in coordinating move-ins and client exits as necessary.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to foster professional development.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
