Responsibilities:
Project and Business Responsibilities:
- Manage the Service Profit & Loss (P&L) for assigned branches.
- Forecast manpower requirements effectively.
- Prioritize customer calls and coordinate with dispatch accordingly.
- Ensure timely completion of customer requirements and service calls.
- Adhere to and approve work orders in compliance with customer regulations.
- Review dashboards and financial reports, taking necessary actions as appropriate.
- Oversee the procurement of parts and supplies.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to align expectations.
- Address and resolve issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
- Ensure effective management of fleet, parts, and materials inventory, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Foster and sustain long-term relationships with customers and subcontractors.
People Responsibilities:
- Communicate company strategy, set expectations, and hold teams accountable for results.
- Provide leadership, cultivate a collaborative team environment, and acknowledge team achievements.
- Conduct interviews, selection, hiring, and onboarding of supervisors, team leads, and technicians.
- Schedule and dispatch technicians efficiently, considering skill level, location, and call volume.
- Manage performance and offer training, coaching, and feedback to Supervisors, Team Leads, and Technicians.
- Utilize metrics to drive accountability and enhance performance.
- Ensure compliance with Service policies and procedures, including electronic Service orders, refrigerant tracking, and time and attendance.
- Promote the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe practices among all employees.
- Guarantee that customer service and work quality meet customer requirements and Source standards.
Qualifications:
Project and Business Management:
- High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school; a college degree is advantageous.
- Over 10 years of experience in the refrigeration/HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and relevant disciplines.
- Proficient in understanding and managing P&L.
- Demonstrated business acumen with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Excellent verbal, nonverbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, fostering strong relationships while proactively addressing concerns.
- Familiarity with job site safety and ensuring compliance with safety practices.
- Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Proficiency with standard business tools such as Email, Word, Excel, Work Order/Dispatch Software, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Valid driving record.
People Management:
- At least 5 years of experience in people management.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing a diverse, multi-disciplinary workforce.
- Proficient in coaching, training, and team development.
- Ability to manage time, delegate tasks, and ensure positive outcomes.
