We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety/Security Officer who will be instrumental in providing protective and enforcement services in a professional and composed manner. This role involves managing emergencies, addressing unwanted behavior, handling disturbances, and safeguarding life and property. The Safety/Security Officer will ensure a secure and safe environment for our guests, visitors, and team members, and must be available to work on weekends and holidays.

In addition, as a Screener, you will play a vital role in our Safety/Security team by conducting daily health screenings for employees prior to their entry into the workplace. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential for this position. Responsibilities will include performing temperature checks and asking health screening questions to employees and visitors upon their arrival at the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the resort grounds to ensure security and deter unauthorized access and disturbances.
  • Perform detailed foot patrols of the hotel’s interior and perimeter to identify potential safety and security risks or undesirable conditions.
  • Assess situations and make informed decisions on appropriate responses and actions.
  • Answer security calls and respond promptly to various inquiries.
  • Administer CPR and First Aid as needed.
  • Verify identification of visitors and employees when necessary.
  • Grant access to secured areas for authorized personnel.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, including medical and security incidents, as well as guest complaints.
  • Investigate altercations and safety hazards.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel and guest room locking systems.
  • Complete incident and accident reports accurately and concisely.
  • Conduct investigations related to property losses, guest and employee accidents and illnesses, and occurrences of criminal activity at the resort.
  • Provide escorts for individuals carrying money or other valuables as requested.
  • Exhibit proper radio communication etiquette at all times.
  • Maintain and review a comprehensive daily activity log.
  • Ensure confidentiality surrounding guest and employee incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Availability to work various days and shifts, including weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is preferred or the ability to obtain one.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, EMS, security, or military service is advantageous, but not mandatory.
