Griswold Home Care for Medina, Wayne & Western Stark Counties is searching for dedicated and empathetic In-Home Caregivers to join our esteemed team. As a caregiver, you will be instrumental in helping our clients preserve their independence and enhance their quality of life.

As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide personalized, compassionate care to individuals within their own residences, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This role offers flexible scheduling, including daytime shifts, and clients typically receive four hours of care, with opportunities for longer shifts when available.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with specific dietary requirements.
  • Provide medication reminders to ensure adherence to prescribed regimens.
  • Offer companionship through engaging conversations and social interaction.
  • Support light housekeeping duties and other household tasks.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in caregiving and familiarity with mechanical lifts is preferred, although we are willing to provide training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with effective time management.
  • A caring and empathetic disposition.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
