Job Title: Part-Time In-Home Caregiver
Location: Lansing, MI (Serving clients in the Grand Rapids, MI area)
Position Overview:
Our Village Caregiving office in Lansing, MI, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time in-home caregiver. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in need, positively impacting their lives through companionship and assistance with activities of daily living.
Compensation & Benefits:
Village Caregiving offers a competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience, paid semi-monthly. This role allows for flexible scheduling to accommodate personal needs. The position requires a specified range of paid training hours, tailored according to experience level, and the selected candidate will receive ongoing training and support to ensure the delivery of the highest standard of care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-home care and support, including assistance with personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, ensuring timeliness and precision.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ behavior or condition to the appropriate supervisor.
- Utilize electronic timekeeping software to accurately log shifts and submit requisite documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Background check is required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.
