Allegria Village, a premier senior living community located in Dearborn, is seeking a full-time External Marketer to enhance our team in the Independent Living department. The ideal candidate will possess strong digital marketing skills, complemented by innovative thinking and creativity suited for a rapidly evolving and competitive industry. A quick adaptability to problem-solving, coupled with analytical capabilities and a data-driven mindset, is essential. This role involves in-person marketing; therefore, an enthusiastic, energetic, and engaging demeanor is crucial. We are looking for a professional who can bring fresh ideas, connect with seniors, and effectively promote Independent Living at Allegria Village.
Overview:
The External Marketer will play a pivotal role in enhancing community awareness among targeted audiences and fostering relationships with potential referral sources to maximize admissions. This position is also responsible for building and maintaining a resident census that aligns with the community’s occupancy goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to meet established trends and assist in the formulation and execution of strategic sales plans.
- Engage with clients and referral sources to facilitate connections.
- Plan and execute marketing events targeting referral sources and prospective residents.
- Monitor competitors and deliver impactful sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Contribute to the development and management of client and homecare agency relationships, evaluate accounts, and ensure timely project completion.
- Assist in executing sales campaigns, maintaining active participation and membership in networking organizations.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director and Administrator, where applicable, in crafting and implementing the weekly outreach plan and community involvement initiatives.
- Oversee all phases of the sales and marketing process to ensure the community meets and sustains its occupancy and revenue growth objectives.
- Collaborate with the Independent Living marketing/admission team on selected events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties:
- Conduct external marketing 3-4 days per week.
- Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Enhance our social media presence.
- Develop new lead sources and maintain connections with existing referral agencies.
- Organize and coordinate community and facility marketing events, including attendance at trade shows.
- Foster relationships within the community, engaging with managers and staff.
- Attend weekly marketing meetings at the community.
- Participate in weekly conference calls with the Senior Director and/or Administrator.
- Submit daily and weekly marketing reports to direct supervisors, administrators, and corporate.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of sales and marketing experience within the senior living industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in event planning, referral source development, and the sales process.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer and technological skills.
- Ability to build relationships with prospective residents’ adult children, staff, physicians, and the broader community.
- A compassionate listener.
Education/Certification:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
