We are seeking skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to join our team. Ideal candidates will excel in performing preventive maintenance inspections and conducting both mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy manufacturing equipment and systems within our union facility located in Baltimore, OH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine and some non-routine maintenance and repair operations under general supervision, adhering to established procedures.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Engage in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives, including Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ensure the reliability of machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to facilitate necessary maintenance and servicing.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to assess changes in the dimensional requirements of parts.
  • Dismantle devices to remove defective components using hand and power tools.
  • Comply with all plant safety policies while actively participating in safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven ability to operate machinery, hand tools, and electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with automated industrial machinery, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings as well as work orders.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities coupled with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and machine repair.
  • Knowledge of pump internals and the ability to rebuild components, including bearings, seals, and sleeves, with a focus on proper installation and removal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong capability to follow directions and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Experience in welding, machining, and fabrication is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
