2020 Companies is seeking a full-time Field Sales Manager for our retail partners, DELL and Intel.
Pay: $23 per hour
Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday
About the Job:
Join our team as a Hybrid Field Sales Manager (FSM) and serve as a trusted advisor for our retail partners and customers. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will focus on establishing and nurturing relationships within Best Buy and potentially other retail locations in your assigned territory, maintaining a Wednesday-Sunday work schedule. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth by training and motivating retail staff, engaging with customers to gather valuable feedback, and collaborating with store management to execute effective sales and merchandising strategies. Success in this role hinges on your ability to build rapport, provide expert product knowledge, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Plan and Prioritize: Begin each day by reviewing your schedule for store visits and prioritizing key accounts and activities aligned with sales goals and promotional priorities. Optimize travel efficiency through route planning.
- Execute In-Store Visits: Travel to assigned Best Buy and potentially other retail locations within your territory. Engage directly with customers on the sales floor, offering product recommendations and utilizing the Best Buy POS system to facilitate transactions.
- Build Relationships & Train Staff: Forge connections with store management and sales associates, providing training on the latest Intel technologies while addressing any inquiries. Promote engagement in the Intel Retail Edge program, encouraging associate registrations and completion of training.
- Merchandising & On-Site Assessment: Evaluate product displays to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and adherence to brand standards. Assess marketing material needs and identify opportunities to enhance product visibility and presentation.
- Reporting & Communication: Accurately document store visit activities, sales data, customer insights, and relevant observations. Communicate key findings and recommendations to the Regional Manager and other stakeholders.
- Administrative Tasks & Planning: Allocate time for administrative responsibilities, such as scheduling future store visits, attending meetings, responding to emails, and planning upcoming events or product launches.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing sales, training, events, and additional projects as assigned.
- Travel to designated locations within your market, visiting all stores weekly or bi-weekly based on the frequency model.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls as required.
- Drive brand market share through direct and indirect sales activities, engaging with customers and retail partners while utilizing the Best Buy POS system.
- Collaborate with store management to enhance sales and product training initiatives.
- Educate customers and provide product recommendations.
- Introduce and register sales associates onto the Intel® Retail Edge Program, promoting training completion.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry vertical affiliates, where applicable.

- Ensure merchandising adheres to brand standards across retail locations.
- Assist in event coverage and support team efforts during launch activities as needed.
Performance Metrics:
- Achieve Sales Targets: Monitor weekly sales goals to ensure consistent monthly performance.
- Sales Growth: Analyze sales growth over time to identify areas for improvement.
- Store Visit Frequency: Track store visit numbers and frequency to ensure optimal coverage and maximize in-store engagement.
- Store Visit Scheduling: Assess scheduling effectiveness to ensure visits are planned efficiently.
- In-Store Activity: Monitor completion of sales and training activities, including product demonstrations and customer interactions during store visits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months previous retail selling experience in consumer electronics or technical/wireless products is preferred.
- 6+ months of successful training experience, ideally within direct marketing or retail environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct a consultative selling process that effectively connects with customer needs and overcomes objections.
- Strong analytical skills with a customer service focus.
- Proven multi-tasking, time management, and attention to detail capabilities.
- Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work setting.
- Willingness to travel within a 70-mile radius of the designated market zip code, with occasional travel to other markets.
- Reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage are mandatory.
