Job description:

2020 Companies is seeking a full-time Field Sales Manager to represent our retail clients, DELL and Intel. This position offers an hourly rate of $23 and follows a Wednesday to Sunday schedule.

As a Hybrid Field Sales Manager (FSM), you will serve as a trusted advisor to retail partners and customers. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will focus on fostering robust relationships within Best Buy and possibly other retail locations in your designated territory. Your primary responsibilities will include driving sales growth through the training and motivation of retail staff, direct engagement with customers to collect valuable feedback, and collaboration with store management to implement effective sales and merchandising strategies. Success in this role hinges on your ability to build rapport, provide in-depth product knowledge, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Prioritize: Begin each day by reviewing the schedule for store visits and prioritizing key accounts and activities according to sales goals and promotional initiatives, optimizing travel routes for efficiency.
  • Execute In-Store Visits: Visit assigned Best Buy locations, engaging with customers on the sales floor, offering product recommendations, and utilizing the Best Buy POS system to facilitate transactions.
  • Build Relationships & Train Staff: Develop strong connections with store management and sales associates, delivering product training on the latest Intel technologies and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Promote engagement with the Intel Retail Edge program to encourage staff participation in training.
  • Merchandising & On-Site Assessment: Assess product displays to ensure they meet cleanliness and functionality standards, identify needs for marketing materials and promotional content, and suggest improvements for product visibility.
  • Reporting & Communication: Document activities from store visits, including sales data, customer insights, and noteworthy observations, and communicate these to the Regional Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Administrative Tasks & Planning: Allocate time for administrative duties, including scheduling future store visits, attending meetings and conference calls, responding to emails, and organizing upcoming events or product launches.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preferred 6+ months of retail selling experience in consumer electronics or technical/wireless products
  • Preferred 6+ months of successful training experience, ideally within direct marketing or retail environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement a consultative selling approach that addresses customer concerns and needs
  • Strong analytical abilities and a customer-focused attitude
  • Proficient in multitasking, time management, and detail-oriented tasks
  • Capable of working independently in a flexible environment
  • Willingness to travel within a 70-mile radius of the Ideal Market Zip Code, with occasional trips to other markets
  • Must possess and maintain reliable transportation and meet state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage
