This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams to optimize data processes, support data reporting needs, and enhance business operations. The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but is also proactive and comfortable, leaving their desk to engage directly with work-floor teams to gain insights into the real-world impact of their data solutions.Key Responsibilities1. Analyze business requirements and translate them into data solutions using relational databases and programming.2. Collaborate with IT and operations to develop and maintain database solutions, ensuring optimized performance.3. Design, implement, and troubleshoot database structures, indexing, and execution plans.4. Write, review, and optimize code and scripts across multiple languages, including VB, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, and PERL.5. Develop and maintain reports using Power BI, iReport, and similar reporting tools to support data visualization and decision-making.6. Utilize ETL interchange tools, such as SSIS, to manage data integration and transformation processes.7. Maintain, troubleshoot, and write Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes as needed.8. Develop and deploy applications using Power Applications to enhance data workflows.9. Engage with work-floor teams to understand the impact of data solutions on operations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.QualificationsTechnical Expertise· Proficient with relational databases and Microsoft SQL Server, including database structures, indexing, and execution plans.· Proficient in programming languages such as VB, C#, and .NET.· Skilled in scripting with Python, JavaScript, and PERL.Reporting & Analytics· Experience with report writing tools, such as Power BI and iReport.· Familiarity with ETL interchange tools like SSIS.· Experience with Power Applications is a plus.EDI Experience· Familiarity with EDI maintenance and development, including creation andtroubleshooting.Required Skills· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics or Data Science.· Will also consider candidates with significant experience in related fields.· Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.· Proactive, with a willingness to engage directly with work-floor teams to gain operational insights.· Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and tools as needed.Compensation & Benefits· Competitive Salary – Based on experience and qualifications.· Medical Benefits – Comprehensive health coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network.· Dental & Optical Insurance· 401(k) with company match.· Life insurance.· Short-term and long-term disability insurance.· Paid Time Off – Negotiable based on experience.· Holidays – 9 recognized paid holidays per year.Details & Location· The position is located at the headquarters office at 18765 Seaway Drive, Melvindale, MI 48122.
